Prominent journalist Umar Cheema sparked excitement on Wednesday with a tantalizing suggestion: US President Donald Trump might soon build the iconic Trump Tower in Pakistan. Cheema revealed that this possibility hinges on the interest of Gentry Beach, a key Trump ally and investor, who has shown a keen desire to invest in Pakistan’s real estate sector.
During a lively discussion on his YouTube channel, Cheema explored how Beach’s ambitious plans to revolutionize Pakistan’s property market could pave the way for a Trump Tower in the country—similar to those in Dubai and other global hotspots. Cheema emphasized that such a development would be a game-changer, bringing hefty investments and boosting Pakistan’s international image.
He also pointed out the political upside for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government: a major project like this would serve as a tangible achievement, demonstrating to the public that the government has secured the backing of the US President himself.
Adding to the diplomatic buzz, a high-profile US investment delegation led by Gentry Beach is currently in Pakistan on a two-day visit. Their mission? To strengthen economic and bilateral ties, seal investment deals, and explore collaborative opportunities across sectors such as energy, technology, and infrastructure. This visit comes shortly after the new US administration took office and is viewed as a significant diplomatic breakthrough.

Cheema addressed rumors questioning Beach’s connection to Trump, dismissing claims from PTI supporters that he’s merely a distant fundraiser. “He is indeed Trump’s fundraiser,” Cheema confirmed, revealing that Beach is very close to Trump’s family. The journalist shared that Beach was a classmate of Donald Trump Jr. at the University of Pennsylvania, and that the two are business partners who even hunt together.
In a recent interview with a private news outlet, Beach also spoke about US efforts related to Pakistan’s political landscape. He praised Richard Grenell, a former US ambassador to Germany and a Trump aide, calling him “one of the finest Americans I have ever met,” and expressed admiration for his effectiveness and humility. Beach suggested that Grenell might have been misled by certain individuals regarding Imran Khan’s situation.
Interestingly, Beach also claimed that a US lobby spends millions each month—around $2 to $3 million—on issues related to Imran Khan. While he admitted he’s not an expert, he believed Grenell now has a clearer understanding of the evidence surrounding Khan’s case.
This political intrigue deepened after Grenell publicly supported Imran Khan following a crackdown on PTI protesters in Islamabad. His tweet, “Free Imran Khan!”, garnered attention. However, it appears that Grenell has since deleted many of his posts backing Khan, adding another twist to this complex web of diplomacy, politics, and international influence.
